Accessibility Statement and Viewing Options
Viewing Options
The table below gives a range of colour contrast and text size options. Simply click the letter that best suits your viewing requirements. To return to the default settings click the ‘default’ link.
| Default | A | A | A |

Text Size
Viewers can also adjust the text size through their browser. Text size can be adjusted in Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Netscape through the View > Text Size or View > Text Zoom option from the main menu in the browser window. Mozilla and Netscape also use the following access keys to control text size:
To increase text size: Ctrl ++
To decrease text size: Ctrl +-
Stylesheets
The website uses external stylesheets to control styles and different stylesheets exist for each of the viewing options in the table above. Mozilla users can invoke any of these stylesheets by following the View > Page Style option in the browser menu.
Unfortunately Netscape interprets the stylesheet information differently from other browsers and so Netscape users may find that the alternative viewing options do not work as they should. For this reason the site is best viewed on Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
Access Keys
Users can also navigate the site using access keys. Where a hyperlink contains an access key, that letter will be underlined in the hyperlink (e.g. Home - in this instance 'o' is the access key). To activitate the hyperlink using the access key press Alt and the relevant letter on the keyboard (Alt + o links to the home page).
The only exception to this rule is the left-hand menu. This is an image-based menu and so the access keys are hidden. There are ten links in this menu each with access keys corresponding to single digit numbers, as follows:
Bolivia = Alt + 1
Brazil = Alt + 2
Burkina Faso = Alt + 3
Mali = Alt + 4
Palestine = Alt + 5
All other links can be activated by using the Tab key to jump down through the links on the page or Shift + Tab to jump up through the links on the page. All the links on any given page follow a logical structure.
