Support for curriculum subjects
The project and website supports these curriculum subjects at KS3:

The MDGs project can deliver these key concepts and processes:
- critical thinking, enquiry and debate, taking informed action. The project covers human rights and the UN, international disagreements and conflicts, the UK’s role and interconnections with the world as a global community
“Geography inspires pupils to become global citizens by exploring their own place in the world, their values and responsibilities to other people, to the environment and to the sustainability of the planet
The MDGs project can support:
- Exploring interdependence at a global scale, environmental interaction and sustainable development through enquiry into different parts of the world and countries in different states of development to take informed responsible action using a range of skills including ICT
The MDGs project also delivers key concepts and processes for:
ICT using contexts drawn from other subjects and areas of learning in producing a multimedia presentation
RS “….as citizens in a pluralistic society and global community” encourage pupils to evaluate their own and others values in order to make informed, rational and imaginative choices on global issues. Finding out what religions and beliefs say about health, wealth, war, and the environment and about human rights and responsibilities, social justice and citizenship
History “Pupils investigate Britain’s relationships with the wider world and relate past events to the present day” investigating the nature and effects of the slave trade and the role of international institutions like the UN resolving conflicts
